Accepting these terms

These terms cover your use of the Pleasanton Concrete Company website and any request you make through it for an estimate or for concrete work. By using the site, calling us or sending the contact form, you agree to them.

If you don't agree, please don't use the site. You can still call us at (925) 468-2730 with any questions before you decide.

What we do

Pleasanton Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Pleasanton, CA. We build driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, pool decks, retaining walls, footings and foundations, and we do stamped and decorative concrete and concrete cutting for homes and businesses in Pleasanton and the cities around it. You can see the full list of services on our home page, and you can read more about who we are on our About page.

The descriptions on this site are general. What we'll actually do on your job is set out in your written estimate and contract, and those documents win over anything on the website.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free and done in person, with no obligation, because we need to see the ground, the slope and what's there now before we can price the work honestly. An estimate is our offer to do the work it describes at the price it states, and it stays open for the period written on it.

Some things only show up once the old concrete is out or the digging starts, such as soft or wet soil under the slab, buried roots, old debris or pipes nobody marked. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you, explain what it changes and get your written approval before any extra work or cost. Prices on the estimate don't cover changes you ask for after we start, which we'll price and agree with you in writing first.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

We'll give you a start date once the estimate is accepted, and we'll keep you posted if it moves. Concrete depends on the weather, so we may move a pour for rain, heavy heat or other conditions that would leave you with a weaker slab, and we'd rather wait a day than pour something that won't last.

Delays from weather, material supply, permit or inspection timing, or other things outside our control don't break our agreement, and we'll reschedule as soon as we reasonably can. If you need to cancel or move your job, call us as early as you can. Your written contract explains what happens if you cancel, along with any right to cancel that California law gives you.

Your part of the job

We need clear access to the work area for our crew, equipment and the concrete truck, so please move vehicles, furniture and anything else in the way before we arrive. You're responsible for knowing where your property lines are and for telling us about private lines we can't see, such as sprinkler pipes, low-voltage lighting or septic lines.

New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it takes foot traffic or a car. We'll tell you when the slab is ready to walk on and drive on, and keeping people, pets and vehicles off it until then is on your side of the job.

Payment

Your contract sets out what you pay, when you pay it and how. Payment is due on the dates the contract gives, and we'll explain each payment before you sign so there are no surprises.

If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it's settled, and we may use the remedies California law gives contractors to collect what's owed. If you have a question about an invoice, please call us before the due date so we can sort it out.

Our guarantee and what concrete does

We're licensed and fully insured, and our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something about the work we did isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our workmanship. Any written warranty that comes with your contract describes exactly what it covers and for how long.

Concrete moves as it dries and as the ground under it changes, so some hairline cracking is normal. That's why we cut control joints, the lines in the slab that give it a planned place to crack. Our guarantee doesn't cover normal hairline cracks, slight color differences between pours, or damage from things outside our work, such as heavy trucks on a slab not built for them, de-icing salts, tree roots, soil movement, poor drainage elsewhere on your property, or repairs and changes made by someone else.

Apart from our satisfaction guarantee and any written warranty in your contract, the website and its content are provided as they are, without other promises, to the extent California law allows.

Limits on our liability

To the extent California law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of your property or lost income, that come from our work or from using this website. Our total responsibility for any claim tied to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.

Nothing in these terms limits a right you have under California law that can't be given up by contract.

Resolving a disagreement

If something goes wrong, call us or write to us through our Contact page first. Most problems on a concrete job get settled by standing on the slab together and talking it through, and we'll reply within 1 business day.

If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation before going to court. If it still isn't resolved, it will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Alameda County, California.

California law applies

These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to rules that would point to another state's laws.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies when you use the site. Changes don't alter a contract you've already signed with us unless we both agree in writing.

If you have questions about these terms or about working with the concrete contractor Pleasanton CA homeowners call for driveways, patios and foundations, call us at (925) 468-2730 or use the form on our Contact page.
