Why I started a concrete company in Pleasanton

I spent years with a big commercial concrete outfit, pouring slabs, footings and flatwork, which is driveways, walks and anything else poured flat. On those jobs everything got checked before a truck was allowed to show up. In 2023 I started Pleasanton Concrete Company here in Pleasanton to bring that same care to homes and smaller properties. Homeowners call us for driveways, patios and foundations, and property managers call us for walks and lots.

What I care about most is getting the layout right before any concrete shows up, because once it's poured you can't move it. A slab that tips toward your house, or sits on dirt that was raked flat instead of dug out and packed, stays that way for as long as it's there. That's the habit I carried over from commercial work, and it's the part of the job most homeowners never see.

We check the layout before any concrete shows up. You'll know what's in the price before we start.

How we run a concrete job

I come out myself to measure your driveway, patio or slab and write the estimate. Our own crew does the work, and I'm on site to check the forms and run the pour. We cut control joints, grooves that tell the slab where to crack, and clean up before we leave. We're licensed and fully insured.

You'll hear back within one business day after you call (925) 468-2730 or send the form on our contact page. Before the pour we tell you what to expect, including curing, the wait while concrete gains strength before you walk or drive on it, and we keep you posted on any permit steps along the way.

What working with our concrete crew looks like

Working with us comes down to a few things you'll notice from the first visit, from how the estimate reads to who's standing there when the truck backs in.

  • Checked before the pour

Layout, slope and forms get checked the way commercial jobs do it, before any concrete arrives at your house.

  • Line-by-line estimates

Your written estimate breaks out base, rebar, joints and drainage, so you can compare quotes on equal terms.

  • Straight answers up front

We tell you what concrete can't do, like stay free of every crack, before you sign anything.

  • Permit steps handled

We confirm which city or county office covers your address and handle any permit application and inspections.
